"I really liked renting the two bedroom unit in the Roundtop area. The neighborhood was quite upscale, quiet and safe. It was not far from Waikiki where I worked. The unit was very well kept and clean. No issues and the landlord really took care of the tenants, the rental homes and the yard. Even the cul-de-sac was well maintained. It has my recommendation."

"I rented the two bedroom Okika Place unit in the Roundtop, Makiki area. It was really nice. The neighborhood was quite quiet and safe. Parking was always available. It was very convenient to Pearl Harbor, downtown, Waikiki and Ala Moana. The unit was in great condition, well kept and clean. Whenever we needed anything the landlord was quick to respond. Even the dead end street was well taken care of with flowers along the side. The landlord really took care of the rental homes and the yard.  I recommend renting from Orchid Rentals."

"Our family recently rented a home from Orchid Rentals. We are moving back to Germany and wish we could take both the home and our landlords with us. The location of the home is ideal in that it is close to Honolulu but far enough away to be insulated from the traffic and hectic of the city. The landlords were very accommodating and addressed any and every concern that we had. I would highly recommend this location and home to anyone and could not be happier with our experience."

"We rented a wonderful 3 bedroom 1.5 bath  home on lower Round Top in Honolulu from Orchid Rentals. The home was located at a the end of a quiet cul-de-sac. The neighborhood was upscale and safe. Monthly rent was very reasonable considering Honolulu's high cost of living. The home was very well kept and clean with a covered deck that had a super view of the city.  Utilities were very reasonable.  We really liked the family that owned and managed the rentals. They were so accommodating and very responsive when things needed to be done. We recommend Orchid Rentals and would rent again from them when the need arises."

"I lived at the unit for 4 years and truly loved living there. The house is in a quiet neighborhood right in town with quick access to UH, grocery stores, schools and bus stop.  It has a lovely breeze and features all of the amenities one would look for: in-house laundry, covered parking, ceiling fans, a spacious lanai with a great view, and a good amount of storage space.  The Choy’s were very flexible and responsive landlords who respected our privacy but were always available and willing to deal with things that came up with the house. I would highly recommend this property as well as the Choy’s to anyone looking for a good home with reliable and easy going landlords."

"I lived on the first floor from May 2020 to August 2022, and I have not had a better experience with my landlords. Mr. And Mrs. Choy were attentive and kind, and had really reasonable expectations for living directly next to their tenants! The cul de sac felt like a true neighborhood and I think part of that is the Choy’s good management skills. I was sad to leave and will have a higher expectation for all landlords going forward. The property is also very cute, and the amenities were convenient with an outdoor sink and covered patio area. It’s a great place to live!"

My wife and I enjoyed our time living at 2056 Okika Place. The house's location at the crossroads of Manoa and Makiki allowed us a convenient lifestyle near town. While I was in grad school at UH Manoa, I walked to campus. After getting a job downtown, I commuted easily enough by bus. At the end of a tucked away culdesac, home always felt like a safe and peaceful place thanks to the very kind and responsive owners and other friendly neighbors. There was also no extra pet rent or deposit for our dog, which is a rare find in Honolulu. Since the house is on a hillside, there is a steep incline that needs to be walked up from the car, but all in all, it's a

great fit for an able-bodied person looking for a convenient place that's also not right in the city.

The microclimate on the edge of the valleys is lovely as well; it stays cool most the year!

We are already missing our little "castle on the hill." It was so peaceful and quiet living there, and the view is of the best in the neighborhood. We really appreciated having the Choys as our landlords. There was very little that ever went wrong in the 2.5 years we lived there, but when it did, they promptly made sure it was taken care of in no time, by experts at their jobs. We enjoyed having them not just as landlords, but as good neighbors as well. It always felt very safe there, with good neighbors looking out for us. The spacious house was perfect for our needs, and we will especially miss the ofuro! Hopefully, the next family who lives there will enjoy it as much as we did.
